My name is Lyly and I am a sophomore studying at The University of Texas at Dallas.

I identify as a heterosexual female that is also a Catholic Vietnamese and an Ally.

My identity is very important to me because it is an accumulation of both my beliefs and my decision of acceptance to what I believe in and what I was born into. I have made my decision to not simply just receive my labels and self identity, but to take what I will to become the person that I am happiest being.

I just want people to know that it's not always super easy being the me that I want to be, even when most of my beliefs aren't even terribly controversial, but that doesn't mean I don't feel what I do. Neither does that mean that we can invalidate the feelings of others and the difficulties that they also face on their own.
