Queer, nonbinary, latinx student

Identity is the basis of self. We each have a interpretive understanding of the world, so identity is a way to both ground yourself in who you are and to understand the world through your own lens. It can be the basis of community, connection, and growth.

I am studying a subject I am personally passionate about and intend to enter a career field in which I may empower other queer students of color. I want everyone to know that self-empowerment means doing what you love, even if this looks different than conventional forms of success.
